Like many other stories, Hiccup runs away from Berk to protect his deepest secret. However, he finds himself on an island where dragons are treated as friends instead of foes. Hiccup was always considered the weakling of the village, he was bullied, pushed around and beaten up by all the other teens, even his cousin and the girl he loved. but it was only until one day when he shot down a night fury the most feared dragon in the whole archipelago, the so called offspring of lightning and death itself. But when he couldn't kill the dragon he took the other option... and trained it. him and toothless were the best of friends but one day when he is chosen to kill the monstrous night mare in dragon training , he can't handle it so he runs away on the back of toothless, but only for the two to be snatched up by dragons. but 5 years later when hiccup returns to Berk, he is not the hiccup they all once knew.

"I understood, then, that so long as I with Toothless, I would always have a home." For the first five years of his life, Hiccup had a home, a family, but not many friends. So when his best friend, Toothless, is uprooted from his home, Hiccup must make a choice. Does he stay on the Isle of Berk with his family, or does he risk it all for his best friend? His choice won't just set the course for the rest of his life, though, but all of Dragonkind as well.

Hiccup and Toothless left Berk thinking no one cared. Being the neglected child of Berk (despite his family, and being the heir to the village), Hiccup decided he'd had enough. He took Toothless and his most treasured belongings and high-tailed it out of there. When he runs into his long-lost mother, life looks up for Hiccup. He's found a place where he belongs. Meanwhile, on Berk, the village assumed Hiccup was dead by a Night Fury's doing and left it at that. Astrid and her friends, however, didn't think such. When a surprise trip overseas and an unfortunate turn of events allows the Berkians to find an odd nest in the middle of nowhere, they may prove that the lost heir to Berk isn't as dead as everyone thinks. //story takes a turn for the worse like halfway through bc i stopped editing it. also i wrote it when i was like 11-12

Hiccup has loved Astrid for as long as he could remember and believes the only way for her to love him is, if he captures and kills a night fury. When he finally captures a night fury there is a change of plans, as he's been placed first in dragon training he plans to flee the village but gets caught and everything changes. Astrid who has always had a crush on Hiccup gets worried when she overhears a conversation the village was having about him, and decides to try and find him in the woods but instead discovers a big secret he hides. Finding this out, she decides to stay loyal to the one she loves.

Its where Hiccup runaway from berk with Toothless fearing no one cares what he told them but before running away Astrid caught him and showed her the truth of the dragons. After that Astrid wants to go with him but Hiccup rejects her but they made a promise that he will tell her about his whereabouts. Its a story where Hiccup create a Kingdom with Dragons and Vikings where they live together in harmony. Let me tell you I took some points and tips from here and there in wattpad and Fanfiction stories of HTTYD Runaway and Runaways. GUYS ITS MY FIRST STORY I HOPE YOU WILL LIKE IT.
