For as long as anyone can remember, people have been born with their soulmate's name written on the inside of their right wrists. The writing fades when your soulmate dies.
Castiel Novak lives in a strange town with a church on every corner and only one high school. He and his brother, Gabriel, lived with their dad in a larger town until Gabe was 17. Their dad left, Castiel, only 13, couldn't work, and Gabe alone couldn't pay the rent. They moved to the cheapest place they could find. That was two years ago. Castiel is happy, and he barely even thinks about the name written in thin cursive on his wrist. Gabriel couldn't care less about soulmates. Nothing mattered to him as long as Cas was happy.
Dean Winchester is 18, and he's finally finishing school. His dad's job required them to move around a lot, but when Dean turned 18 John decided his boys could live on their own. He wanted them to be able to stay in the same school for at least a whole year, so he rented a low-income house and stayed with them for as long as he could. Dean's younger brother, Sam, is 14 and starting the 9th grade. He's always liked school, so he was exited about being able to stay. Dean doesn't think he'll ever meet his soulmate, and it doesn't bother him. Sam, however is obsessed with finding his soulmate. And 14 is the perfect age to meet your soulmate, right?
❝I've been falling every day
since I first met you.❞
stolen glances,
hushed whispers,
teasing breaths,
lingering touches.
