Your mate is supposed to be the werewolf equivalent of your very own "Prince Charming", right? Not in Emilia Mathews' case. Her life as the beta's daughter was pretty good until four years ago, when tragedy struck and left her pack nearly in pieces. Now, to escape from her reality, her and many others in her pack dream of the day they will turn 18 and find their mate. Emilia fantasizes that it would be love at first sight and they would live happily ever after... Too bad life isn't a Disney movie. Instead of the fairytale sweetheart from her dreams, she gets a cynical, strikingly good-looking rogue for a mate. And that only the beginning of her problems... *** WARNING: This story is DISCONTINUED, meaning it will no longer be updated. Read at your own risk...

Book 1 in the Clearwater series Maybelle Smith, or Rose as she is more known, is about as stereotypical as you get when it comes to a teenager. She hates school, her brother pisses her off, sarcasm is her first language, and she can't stand her math teacher. Oh, yeah, and she's a werewolf, but what's a few minor details here and there. Everything is all peaches and cream until her eighteenth birthday roles around, when she finds out her supposed 'fated mate' is her ex best friend who is also the alpha of a very touchy rival pack that hates her guts. So of course they'd be forced into marriage to avoid an attack from crazy rouges, and of course the two packs would have to live under the same roof; I mean, life just wouldn't be right if not. So, just to recap, Rose has to mend bonds with her 'mate,' get two sworn enemies to work as one, prevent a possible massacre, and is still expected to get an A on her next math test. But like I said, minor details.
