Emilie smiles, and nods her head. "I know how this might seem, but I don't want to give anyone false hope. I am not going to-"
"Don't you dare finish that sentence." My hands cup her face. " I love you, Emilie. And I refuse to except that. I refuse to except this."
The tears rolling down her face stop when I kiss her. In the back of my mind I know she is right, but I throw myself down the rabbit hole anyway. 
"I won't let you go." I whisper in her ear.
I can feel Emilie tremble. "I love you, too." 
I hold her tightly as she sobs in my arms.
