As he looks around himself, Jason sighs. There are more bodies now than there was before Jason got here. Jason turns a couple of bodies over with his foot, wincing when he saw their faces. The faces were showing shock and fear yet they were already turning grey and withered. Jason turned around towards a sound in the distance. He squints, wondering who or what was coming, then remembering that he has super hearing, that the creature was probably a mile or two ways from him. So, figuring he has time, Jason starts to walk off from the massacre he created....

Everyone always says you shouldn't complain about your life because someone else has it worse, but Zachary Delmont can't help it. Zack is seventeen and the youngest of his family, having three older sisters, all of whom were at home far too often for his liking. It wasn't that he didn't like them, it was that he saw through them so easily. They always got their way as "Daddy's little girls" and he couldn't help but to feel left out sometimes. Not to mention how they were always getting him in trouble. At least his mom was on his side, though his loneliness wasn't helped by his lack of friends. One day, Zack decides to take a walk, but finds much more than he bargained for: a girl passed out in the bushes. She's covered in rags for clothing and bandages are around her mouth. When she wakes, she refuses to talk, leaving Zack to wonder why. Soon he finds out something special about this girl, her actions speaking louder than any words she could ever utter. Who ever knew that someone who was silent could show him how much louder he needed to be? (Alright, fair warning, this is a story pertaining to superpowers)Complete

**A story by my friend and myself, all rights reserved.** "Leave her alone, Drake." Jamie spoke without thinking, and his own voice sounded strange. He just barely registered the girl's surprised expression before Drake's fist met Jamie's face. A searing pain shot through his cheek and up his nose. Something cracked loudly, and he fell to the ground, blinded with pain. There was muffled shouting and a faraway thump. Jamie reached up to touch his nose. It was sticky, and his fingers came away wet. His glasses had been punched off, and he couldn't see anything very well. Then he heard her voice. "I had it covered, you know." Jamie blinked, trying his best to see. Before he knew what was happening, she was touching his nose. He winced, expecting pain, but the throbbing began to subside until it disappeared almost entirely. Pressing something hard into his hand, Jamie realized she had found his glasses. The frames were bent and the glass had cracked. Jamie groaned. "I really should get some contacts." The girl laughed, and Jamie felt himself smile a little. She helped him to his feet, and he wobbled but stayed upright. "You okay?"Complete

"I've, uh, well, I've been pretty low sometimes in my life, and I know you probably don't want me to say this, but-" Jason sighed as if steeling himself to say what he needed to say next, "what I've learned is that you can't try to do it all on your own. "What I mean to say is, if you need help, I'm here for you, and I hope that's not weird-" Changes come to our life, and somehow we keep moving. Two-and-a-half couples (and one poor innocent bystander) deal with illness and its cure with varying degrees of success, but they all end up all right, I think. I look at Jason who has sadness, disbelief, despair, guilt, and loneliness mixed in one on his face. I tilt my head at him. Why does he feel guilty? It's not his fault that thy are here. It's mine. But why is he angry? "Jason did you tell Brook?" He shakes his head, not meeting my gaze. I sigh. "Please tell Blake and Brook While I'm Gone." Jason's eyes snap up to mine. "Gone? Where are you going? Aren't you coming back?" He says with panic in his voice. I look at my friends one by one. "Thirty seconds." I whisper to my best friends a moment before I teleport out of the space ship.Complete

My hand slaps against my mouth as I try to shut myself up. Don't make too much noise...or he'll hear you. A vehicle's door opens then slams shut. I don't hear footsteps...but as the minutes go by I begin to hear them; the footsteps get louder and louder and louder, matching the sound of my thundering heart. That's when I see his shadow cast over the ditch...over the place where I tried to hide. "Well," he says with a smile in his voice. "I wonder where he could've gone...the footprints stop here...so I wonder if he just...disappeared?" My body begins to tremble. I can feel it now. The pain. I can feel the pain already. He jumps down into the ditch...he stands directly in front of me, with his back facing me. My hand presses harder against my mouth as I try to suppress my whimper, but it's way too late now. But his body tenses up when he hears it. He laughs bitterly as he turns around slowly, and his eyes cut through my camouflage easily. "There you are."Complete
