Rose is just your typical teenager in reality. When she's kidnapped and nearly dead her cousin appears out of no where and bites her turning her into a vampire. She awakens in the world called the Night World. Confused she runs away running into a werewolf, Akin. Akin finds out she's a vampire after he knows her. Guinevere the witch mother finds out that Rose is Sapphire Lisa Cedas, The lost princess of the night world. She has Damon watch her every move. As Akin is around her more often he starts to fall in love with her. Damon does the same. Who will win Sapphire's heart, and who will destroy it?

I smile as I look up at the stars, that are twinkling brightly. They're so beautiful. I can't wait for my walk in the park. I start to feel dizzy and think about going inside. I'll just stay another minute, I decide, rubbing my shoulder. I sit on one of the outside chairs, however jump up when I discover that it's wet, the icy cold water soaking through my trousers.
