this is a short story of mine that i wrote because i just felt the need to. it's about a young girl who be-friends an elderly man that sits on a bench outside her apartment everyday. he says he's waiting for his girl to get off the bus stop from across the street and she can't figure out why he still waits when she's not coming. it ends on a sad but touching scene that i hope you'll all like.

I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Call me nosy but I just really can't help it! Apparently my best friend, a member of the basketball team, suddenly quits just to take care of her neighbor! I thought it was because of Cherry so it's not much an issue. She then shows up at school after a whole week with a guy on a wheelchair. She refuses to talk to her usual friends and even to me! I tried finding out why and it turns out that her neighbor lost a leg and his father's life in a bus accident and my bff believes that it was all her fault. Stupid of her, isn't it? No matter what I do or say she still believes that she was the one at fault. Being her friend, her BEST friend, I just accepted her beliefs and tried to befriend her neighbor. Now it's been two years and my dear friend is still with wheelchair guy. I often wonder why she's still with him but after taking note of their actions I got to conclude that my bff has a cute little crush on wheelchair guy... So I did something. in this short story, a boy from 1912 accidentally calls a girl from 2024 by using his phone from 1912, the girl lives in his friends old house despite it being over 112 years old. originally the boy wanted to call his friend but ends up calling the girl who had his friends phone which survived through time. This story proves how much my writing has developed over the years hence the first book I've ever published which was A new friend, a five nights at Freddy's fan fiction about c.c afton which in my opinion is bad. Though I can't blame myself since I was thirteen at the time but it's been two years since then. I've matured, grown and found a new perspective of life. I'm fifteen now and I hope you enjoy this story, I recommend you read my first ever book I published on this app and see how much my writing style has changed and developed.
