Thea Mitchell has never felt more alone in a world where a population is forever growing.
Her voice is drowned out in a world where speaking out is an expectation.
Her pleas for acceptance are ignored by those who say they are listening.
Thea feels alone, helpless and insignificant, even with her loving family and friends. It is as if there is never going to be a light at the end of the tunnel. The only thing keeping her grounded is her love of reading and make believe happy ever afters that she could only wish involved her.
That is until she discovers the mysteriously wonderful world of a 'hidden race' of creatures that she only read and dreamed were real.
At the ripe age of 17, Thea's life is flipped upside down, much to her dismay.

"It's wonderful. Not all is as it may seem, Thea. There is more to life then meets the eye, darlin'."

My Mother Runs With Wolves

51 parts Complete

A genetically unique but emotionally lost teenager must figure out who she is within her mixed-up, warring world of Shifters and Wolfstalkers. ***** It wasn't Maddie's choice to be born a half-breed, half Shifter, half Wolfstalker -- a hunter of Shifters -- and it wasn't her choice to keep her identity a secret. But after trying to attend high school like any normal sixteen-year-old, things quickly spiral south when her Stalker uncle finds out about her and catapults her out of anonymity and into the awareness--or possibly the crosshairs--of The Order of the Wolfstalker. Maddie must think fast and figure out a way to keep herself and her family safe, or risk losing everything. Including her life. [[word count: 70,000-80,000 words]]
