Book One in the Tales from the Filii Aurea Series

IN THE BEGINNING, they say, the Aetherei Matrem fell in love with a Celestial Being, and produced a line of children like none other, each with their own special abilities, and each with ichor flowing through their veins. They were her Filii Aurea, her Golden Children, and they were to inherit the earth.

A couple centuries down the line, and the Filii Aurea are struggling to stay alive. With the great Aurean war and Aziel Aro committing perpetual genocide, they're desperate to save their race. Avani Sai and Nuri Bachmann need to find the last remaining descendent of the great Milo Aro, and possibly the last cursed Child, and defeat Aziel Aro.

That might not be their biggest concern, however. A charming stranger from the Sovereign Capital and a dark force lurking in the streets seem to pose a bigger threat than perpetual genocide.

My body trembled, but not from the cold. "You frighten me." His brow twitched, eyes darting around the features of my face. "Frighten, or excite?" His gaze dropped to my mouth. "Which is it, Miss Young?" ❆ Once upon a time in a dying village, there lived a girl who dreamed of a life free of fear and death. She yearned for a world not ruled by the darkness and the demons awaiting her inside it... For nearly eighteen years, Adaira Young has been able to hide from the monsters that plague her small village. Every year in Kinnot, a name must be drawn to be offered to the beasts from the mountains. Once they are sacrificed and disappear through the gates, they are never seen again. When Adaira's world comes crashing down around her and she finds herself on the outside of those very walls, Adaira comes face to face with the monster she's been cowering from all her life: A terrifying man named Beast. Whisked away to his palace in the icy mountains, Adaira struggles to adjust to her new life and fight the dangerous feelings of attraction growing inside her. But as the days grow colder and their relationship grows stronger, a deadly secret from Beast's past threatens to shatter everything. To live, he needs the one thing Adaira has to die for in order to love her: her heart. **A Beauty and the Beast retelling🖤♥️ Updates randomly, but mainly Friday's ⚠️❗️This book includes material that may be graphic to some viewers. Do your genes, your parents, teachers, or your master determine who you will be in life? Can they set your value in the universe? 650 years ago the known species of the universe came together and signed the Alliance, a document that would help each race find its place in the universe. It granted freedom to some and the scant protection of slavery to others. Into this society a handful of children are born who will change it forever, if they can survive to adulthood. Here is the origin story of two of those children. Hathu is born to a man determined to make the universe bow to him and his species. Since he learned to talk, Hathu has been a disappointment to his father. He doesn't want to become a warrior, and he refuses to assert his dominance. When he accidentally overhears his father plotting against the Ir'Klahn empire, can Hathu stop him? Mik is born with no rights, destined to become a lifelong slave. His mother tries to protect him from this fate by running away and finding a home for them on a trading ship that travels from world to world. They are safe for now, but how long can they hide from the best trackers in the universe? This is the first book in the My Kingdom Come series. Updates every Tuesday. :) My 2021 Nanowrimo so please excuse the unedited condition of the story. Be warned: there is violence, rape, murder, abuse, self harm and suicidal thoughts in this story.
