Alexander Aimsbridge. A stereotypical 'emo' teenager living with his abusive mom and her boyfriend after his dad walked out. Saddled with guilt over an accident that occurred years ago, he blames himself and has reoccurring nightmares. Beaten up at home, and insulted and kicked down at school, he takes his hurt out on himself with drugs and self harm. He can't help but feel trapped- will he find an escape? .

He thinks he's all alone, but is he?

What about Willow, the 'punk' girl with blue in her hair seems to have become his friend? And what happens when he is reunited with long lost friends?
With the help of his curious group of misfits (his friends), will be stand up to his demons and turn his broken dreams into reality?

The million dollar question: Can anyone escape their past?- Or will it just keep on coming back to haunt them?

Oh, and, with just a touch of romance, of course.

[Warning: this book contains SEXUAL content, crude language, drug use & abusive scenarios. If you aren't mature enough to read, don't.] First novel, don't judge. He did everything he could to forget about her. There was no 'girl of his dreams'. Only the playground she taunted him in. The blonde broke his heart like glass on concrete. Only picking up the broken pieces is much harder than he thought. Ace Valentino is not one to go against everything someone tells him, but you could definitely categorize him as a bad boy. Especially one with bad habits. A broken-hearted druggie that is held under the confines of his cold-hearted, adrenaline junkie, ash blonde ex. Afraid to move on and love again, he drowns himself in alcohol & illegal substances. Ace's secrets are the things he vows to keep forever private, never to reveal them ever again. Unexpectedly, his new neighbor immediately captivates him with foreign feelings and fears most the outcome of it all. Willow Andrews, a benevolent, tormented, naive girl that has nothing but herself and physically abusive guardian. Having never experienced love, Willow fears the unknown. Although, she is drawn to the mystery boy that is her new next door acquaintance. In this story, two people come together not for love, but for recuperation. Or could Ace's past relationship and Willow's insecurities hold back the chance to find 'it' again? Will that change be for better or for worse? Something quite magical or melancholy in the works....

Willow's always been known as the good girl with the wealthy parents who could do no wrong. Little do they know that this seemingly perfect girl has some less than perfect secrets; and the fact that she's been sneaking out past curfew every night since the beginning of summer isn't the worst one. Distancing herself from the people at school has become lonely, but everything changes when a group of bad boys that she meets after curfew one night transfer to her school and begin to take an interest in her; one even more than the rest. But will they be able to protect her when events from her past re-surface and begin to get her into more trouble than she ever wanted? ********************** We were a circuit, electricity flowing through us at every connection, every light touch igniting a heat that was exhilarating but dangerous. Like we could catch fire and burn to the ground at any second. "Did you take your own advice? Did you ever forgive yourself?" I whispered, my words evaporating in the heat around us. He moved towards me, trapping me against the car door as his lips traced over my jaw, down to my neck. "This," he whispered, his thumb tracing the waistband of my jeans, making my breathing falter. "Allowing myself to feel this happiness, to feel you...this is me forgiving myself." He kissed me, calming the raging storm in me and igniting a new one. I wasn't sure which would cause more destruction, but I knew only one had pretty blue eyes and a effortless smile that could convince me it was all worth it. It probably was.
