She was trying to forget and live for once in her life. Could she really let everything go? Ava Fuentes wasn't usually so reserve when it came to many things, though you can't really say she's the same Ava Fuentes you would've seen on her hometown streets hanging with a big crowd of friends. Now hundreds of miles away from the only family she has left, she tries to reopen herself where no one knows her. No one can push her into things she used to do because no one has seen that side of Ava quite yet. Though when she meets a certain individual she can't really stop the old her from coming out, as she debates with herself. She's trying to find herself again, but is this the big step she wants to take with her second life to live? Will she truly be able to find the happiness everyone deserves? Or will certain obstacles get in the way of her opening herself up to someone that may actually bring that happiness to her.

“Has that ‘curl up with hot chocolate and read’ feel to it.” ~*~*~ Monica doesn't believe in life after death. Obligations, certainly. But, after her husband's death, there hasn’t been much ‘life’ to speak of. Just her kids, her farm, and the man who rents it to run his business, Marshal. She decides to change that. It won’t be like it was the first time. Nothing could be like it was with Jason. But she didn’t quite anticipate how different the dating world had become. The more she learns, the more panicked she becomes until she literally runs from her first date . . . and directly to Marshal. She was just looking for someone to ease the loneliness. What she found was a friend she’d already learned to lean on. But can Monica let go of her picture-perfect memories and embrace a new dream? With a new man?
