Elaina is just like any typical eighteen year old highschool girl. excelling classes, having good looks, even a boyfriend. well, sorta typical. she sleeps in a tent because her parents died a few months earlier. After a break up and she truly becomes alone Elaina starts to hang around in a bad crowd for attention and a terrible accident happens that changes her life forever, literally.
Lyca is her childhood friend that Elaina doesn't remember and has transfered to her school. After taking her in when they reunite and learns of what happened, he does everything he can to make her feel better but being a shapeshifter makes it difficult when your always being hunted.
After her terrible accident now both Elaina and Luca are on the run, trying to find a place to call home. Will they succeed? or will they become prey to the hunters or other dark creatures that lie within the shadows..?
