So I watched Suicide Squad..and loved it. I especially became a fan of Harley....so I'm going to do a few short one shots weekly from Harley's perspective(I don't know how many at the moment-possibly 5 or so). It is based on the movie. WARNING for spoilers: You will see scenes from here that are taken from the movie (switched up a little). My concentration is NOT on the story so much as Harley's messed up mind..because she's fascinating. The main story concentration will be on Harley's outside persona vs. inside persona. What I mean is that Harley is messed up, but she does have dreams of being normal, so I will be concentrating on that. Joker will be a big part of her development.
I will add a short part from the movie every Friday, some might continue the story, some might be random, so beware.
I am creating these one shots for fun only, so you can share or use, but it is noncommercial.

You're His Favorite Joke
You've gotta watch out for the quiet ones and they hardly come quieter than shy but pretty Harleen Quinzel. New to Gotham City, the fledgling psychiatrist is starting her career by assessing new intakes at the infamous Blackgate Prison, a place so dangerous and ugly it makes the rest of Gotham look like a garden in springtime. Clashing immediately with the head doctor, Joan Leland, doesn't help. Let's face it-there's very little in her life to make her smile, let alone laugh. Someone who really cracks open her shell and brings her out of the grey, dismal mood it seems she's been in forever. So he's not conventionally handsome, with his green hair and his really, really pale complexion-what does that matter? He's got a wonderful sense of humor, he makes her pulse race, and is he ever a stylish dresser. Only problem is, he's a new intake and a probable mass murderer. Is this some kind of a joke life's playing on her? And how can she believe he's serious? And then there's Slade, who is not the kind to give up easily. This is a Harley x Female reader, I don't see many so I decided to write one. You were jealous of Mr. J's relationship with Harley. She was the star in his eyes, you were only a second serve. Harley was thrown into prison leaving you with Mr. J, you had your time with him until you too were arrested. Being in the same prison cell with Harley was.... Difficult to say the least but you got to know the psycho just a bit better. You develop feelings for her feelings you had only felt for The Joker. Also the sequel is up so go check that out. " I lunge forward at him hitting his groin with my knee then right between the eyes. As soon as I do, he crashes to the ground, out cold. I go for more, but a pair of arms snatch my waist lifting me up. I kick my legs and flail my arms to get closer but he is too strong. "Let go of me!" I demand. "Shut up." A low strong voice commands."Is he okay?" "He is fine." I grunt. Then the young adult wakes up, then scurries back away from me. "Sorry ma'- miss... " he says, making me angry again. I give him a cold stare. "I'm sorry." He repeats, standing to his feet. "Put. Me. Down." I demand again. With a huff he puts me down. I step forward with full intentions to punch him again but the man behind me takes my arm, holding me back. I jerk forward to get off his grip but he takes my other arm tightly. "Alright! I'm done! I'm done!" I huff in defeat. " This story follows Astrid, a 26 year old female who ran away from home 10 years ago. The only reason she has come back was to get away from the hole she dug her self into. She is running away from her problems again. Life before she ran away wasn't as nice as the public saw it- the sherif's family, happy, and loving. Behind the doors it was orders being barked left and right with no warning or break. Not wanted to deal with this anymore, Astrid ran. On her voyage out, she ran into some trouble that seemed all fine until it wasn't. She comes back home and everything is all fine and dandy until, "Unknown: You thought you could hide forever? I found you, and I can find your friend, Nicole. If you want her safe, you'll be at the ring in an hour." Since Astrid's leave, the town suddenly had a motorcycle gang that hangs around, not realling doing anything in particular, but the sherif doesn't trust them much. Pinky and the Brain are in the '80s. Brain struggles with bipolar depression and anxiety. He also seeks to rule the world. It's hard, though, to accomplish much when you're low on money, unhappy, and living in a trashed city with twisted politicians. Pinky works as a clown for a clown temp agency. He loves his job, but things are hard. Pinky struggles with worsening hallucinations and Tourette's. He still tries his hardest to be kind to everyone and smile often. Hamington is a tough town to live in. It's filthy, full of violence, and there's a lack of mental health care. Pinky is 26, and Brain is 49. They are human in this. The movie Joker meets Pinky and the Brain. I'll update tags as I post. I have experienced most of the conditions or traits listed, but my experiences are not everyone's, especially when those experiences have been exaggerated GREATLY and given to fictional characters in a poorly-written fan-fiction.
