A homeless thirteen-year-old boy is taken in by a strange man. He is then taken to an orphanage, a special orphanage for gifted children. There he meets a raven haired boy, a boy with blood red eyes and many others. The thing is he doesn't know who he is, where he came from and who his family is. Now he must make it through Wammy House. Oh, and did I mention that he is actually a she.

Skye was just an ordinary human. One with an unfortunate life. Her mother was killed in an armed robbery when she was barely a year old. Her father turned to alcohol and smoking to hide his pain. As the years went he began to abuse her and was eventually murdered as well by a burgler. She was sent to Wammy's House. As the only girl there, it was hard for her but she made a few friends and was very close with another boy. She stood out easily because of her white hair and small figure but it was mostly her eyes. She wasn't born with her white hair, it turned white from the torture and stress her father put her through. Her eyes were different. She was born with large, blood red eyes. Of course no one knew that she hadn't been born with white hair, not even the boy she was basically dating, except a boy little older than her named Lawliet. He was like a brother to her. Lawliet was given a caretaker named Watari and Skye, one named Yamato. She lived her life as normal as she could and climbed the ranks as a detective; even surpassing L, though she didn't know who he actually was. As it's well knows, shinigami liked to gamble to entertain themselves. The king himself gambled his own life and power on her and a few years before she went into Wammy's. The king bet his that she wouldn't risk her life to save a stranger and used his death note to put her in a situation that she could save a child's life by risking her own or continue walking and not give them a second glance. She saved the child and gained his death note, the shinigami eyes, healing and self-healing, the power to bring back to dead, and knowing whenever someone has been killed using a death note. She had not to try draw attention to herself, since others couldn't see the shinigami she talked to. As the shinigami queen it was hard to be normal. She traveled for cases and decided to dye her hair inky purple when she was in America. She returned to Japan to go to school and observe the Kira case.Concluida

L Lawliet, worlds greatest detective and possibly the smartest person alive... can't talk. Well, he can, but only to those he's deeply connected with. Partially mute, he hides behind his screen and solves crimes anonymously. Speaking to taskforces with text to speech, and no face shown. Until he's pushed into a corner with a particularly tricky case, and ends up having to make his first face to face interaction. (y/n) shows up to the hotel room of the worlds greatest detective, thinking they'd see a well polished, wise old man. Instead they're met with a tired, young and rather huggable looking guy with eyebags holding a torn notebook page saying "I am L, and I can't talk" -- GNC READER. Basically all language for the reader is gender neutral, anyone can read! Non binary mfs rejoice. When the eventual lemon hits it'll be kinda alluded to an AFAB body (bc marketing to my main audience yo), but all pronouns are they/them and there's no descriptions of tiddies or anything. The institution known as Wammy's House was, as you probably already know, founded for the purpose of raising extraordinarily gifted children that would grow up to benefit society. An undeniably noble goal. And yet, that quiet orphanage in Winchester hides behind its modest facade the bloodied remains of two innocent children who's traumas would haunt their legacy forever. The generation of failures - A and B. We all know of the infamous B, Beyond Birthday, perpetrator of the Los Angeles BB Murder Cases. The symphony of his life was a tragic, cascading hysteria; ringing of fury and devastation in the ears of our troubled organisation. ...But what of A? Well, the official story goes like this: A (or Above Asphodel), was the first of L's successors, and, unable to handle the enormous pressure, committed suicide at seventeen. But that's inaccurate. In truth, A suffered years of abuse that the hands of the Wammy's House. And more importantly, A didn't truly die. Every life can be read as a parable with a moral and a theme. Those of us whose lives were marred by extreme misfortune are given temporary refuge from death and rebirth to heal the wounds they suffered. Above Asphodel was one of these people. And, seven years after Above's suicide, the detective known as L met an untimely death as well, at the hands of Kira. His too was a life cut short; a story incomplete. But there's no such thing as 'the end'. There is no final act of existence. The fact is, we continue to exist long after we're gone, the only difference being what form we take, and for what purpose. And the Universe, in her usual enigmatic fashion, chose to continue the stories of the first two Wammy's kids post-mortem.Concluida
