Jake Layfield is a boy who has to make some of the difficult decisions. Like when he was placed in charge of the Children's Shelter. Before the attacks hit the country the guard had left him to make sure everything ran smoothly for the few years he would be gone. But it was just an piece of hope that had been killed when men with Gas Masks that had skulls drawn across them had forced their way into the Children's Shelter killing all that looked to weak to work for them. Then taking Jake and his friends with some others to the K.H hideout. Leaving him with difficult decisions like....... What will Jake do? Will he protect his friends? will he abandon his friends to save himself? Or will he enjoy his life there or help take it over?
