Amberle Foster has been in attendance at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters since her mutation made itself known. While she has always remained in the background of the growing academy, the recent defeat of Apocalypse has brought certain students to the fore front of attention. One of whom is a boy with lasers for eyes, Scott Summers.
While Amberle must wear gloves to keep her abilities from non-consensually working on others, Scott faces a similar dilemma- he must wear specially crafted glasses to keep from blowing things up.
The two would be considered complete opposites. Though their shared struggles may lead the two to realizing that they have more in common that initially thought.

"You don't know what it's like to love someone who only sees you as a friend," Jean told Devin with the shake of her head as they both sat side-by-side, Devin looked at her before glancing back to Alex, the smile dropping from her face, and the truth lodged a bitter taste in her mouth. "I think I do." ⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆ Being able to heal from anything doesn't mean that you can't be hurt. When Alex, accidentally, lets it slip that he was 'dating' Devin, he came to her in a panic, hoping that she'd agree to his plan of pretending to date. Mainly so Scott doesn't set him up on another terrible date, or hold it over Alex's head for the rest of his life. Regretfully agreeing is exactly what it ends up being. A regret. Devin never expected it to go that far, or for things to scratch their way up to the surface. The only way that she could deal with all these new feelings was to run. Which was exactly what she did. But that may have been an even bigger mistake. Slowly losing her mind, at first glance, didn't seem so bad. But when they haunt her day-in and night-out, losing her mind wasn't the only thing she began to lose. "No running through the hallway!" I yelled as two boys ran past me. "Yes Professor." They said as they slowed down. I smiled as I shook my head and continued walking towards my class. "Professor there are two kids fighting at the pool." Rogue , one of my students, said softly. "Thank you for telling me." I said with a smile. "What is going on?" I asked as I made it to the pool and saw Bobby and John fighting. "He started it." John growled out. "Well I'm finishing it, class now or I will send you to the Professor's office." I ordered. "Yes Professor." Bobby said as he walked away. I smiled as I shook my head and walked to my class. "Mom!" A voice yelled. I smiled as I turned to see my five year old daughter run up to me. "Hello Sweetheart, what are you up to?" I asked as I picked her up. "Running from papa." She said with a giggle. I smiled as I saw my husband of twenty years walking towards us.Complete
