A Small Orphan

Rina has had a hard life. After being abandoned on the streets of New Delhi, India at age 3, she was picked up by a horrible man who abuses her and treats her as a slave for many years. Finally, she gathers enough courage to run away to a smaller part of town--a part where there are bandits, pickpockets, and poor people. There, she learns to survive and defend herself.

At age 16, she puts herself in a situation where she meets a mysterious boy who surprisingly takes an interest in her. As they grow closer, Rina learns more about him that shocks her, and puts her in complicated situations. What will happen to Rina's life, and what will she do?
