Nolan, an unapproachable guy who ignores the existence of all his schoolmates, sleeps in all of his classes. Normally, this wouldn't be Chelsea Arnold's problem-she does her best to pay attention in class and attends gym like a good, normal student. Unfortunately, she just so happens to be his assigned desk partner in many classes. She's frequently forced to wake him in English class and ends up earning the unofficial title of Nolan's Wake-up Alarm-a title that nobody in the entire school covets. The last thing she wants is to interact with him more than she absolutely has to. One day, their gym teacher sends her to bring him back to class, which he always skips for some reason. When she accidentally shines her flashlight in his sleeping face, it triggers a chain of events that gradually intertwines their lives together. It's hard to be a normal student when you start befriending the school oddball. It doesn't help that he has more secrets than the Big Ben has stairs. ----- Complete. At the time, I was barely twelve and thought that I could summon a unicorn if I just believed in myself. A decade later, despite my massive student loans and almost nonexistent love life, that piece of advice was all I needed to maintain good mental health and earn myself some lovely padded hips. Little did I know that a horrific monster was lurking in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to strike and scare the living daylights out of my naïve and helpless self. 'There she goes again with the metaphors and literary witchcraft...' Did you really have to make an entrance right now, conscience? I was about to get to the exciting part. As I was saying, that hideous monster popped out of nowhere and there was no ice-cream bucket big enough to vanquish it. Hence, I only reacted the way an average person such as myself would. 'You gathered your forces and made it creep back into the shadows? It realized that you were too nice and boring to be messed with? As a result of the tragic death of her father; Heaven Foster's life has mouldered into a exasperating cycle of moving from one home to another. Consequently, not staying in a house for more than a year means having to move schools more times than a typical seventeen year old girl should. Heaven is used to blending in with the crowd, so that she can be unnoticed by people, but being unnoticed while you're the new student of Lakeswood high school is not that easy. I began writing this book when I was very young and only a couple years later, I had stumbled across this app again and decided to look at what I created. In my spare time, i decided to edit as much as I could and began to write new chapters. Writing was a little hobby of mine, something that I didn't take seriously as I only wrote for fun. I definitely didn't think that my book would get this many readers!! Thank you to all of you who genuinely took time to read my book. I deeply apologise for keeping you all waiting, and left wondering if I was going ahead with this story or not. Sadly, to all of my readers who was looking forward to reading more of my story.
