Years have past since President Snow ruled Panem and Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark can finally live together with no fear and create a family.
The first born, Willow Mellark, starts learning more about the past as she attends school and Rye Mellark is almost three.
Katniss is afraid that her children, and Peeta, will disappear from her life forever one day, but Peeta said they will always be together. No matter what.

"Mommy, why do you cry?" Willow asked as I had just finished braiding her hair back. I had to choke up an answer since Peeta wasn't here and usually he's the one that gently tells our daughter why I have my breakdowns.
"I think about my past, and my past is very sad." I tell her, trying hard not to cry. I pull her closer to me.
