"Ah, your sister. Bay was it? After enough torture she told us everything we needed to know about your family, including that you swim at the beach every morning. That's how we knew where you were. It was just a matter of ---"
"Where is she?!" I interrupted him.
He looked at me for a few minutes before he answered. "The zoo. The twin, Brook should be having a field trip there as we speak."
"That's enough chit chat." A new voice stated, even deeper and scarier than this boy's. "Get your samples already." 
The boy nodded his head as he started working. Setting up his equipment. Soon he was ready. 
"What are you gonna do?" I ask with my shaky voice. He didn't answer just poured some water on my legs. Then the pain started. He was tearing off one of my scales. I screamed in pure agony. 
"Get at least five." The voice told the boy. And that's what he did. Later he would take my blood. All while I was strapped to a table. Hopefully someone is looking for me.All Rights Reserved

The huge man carried me down to the ground floor, since apparently I still wasn't trusted to have the ankle chains taken off. We arrived in a big room with polished floorboards, leather seats, small coffee tables and black duck tape forming a line in the centre of the room. At the line where girls, some a bit older than me and some way older than me. The youngest one I could pick out was a blonde haired girl around 18, and the eldest in her early 30's. I was kicking against the huge man as much as the chains would let me, but he just dropped me to the ground in the line. I quickly got up, and looked at the occupants in the leather chairs. They were all men in business suites with glasses of beer. "Alright, first one up is this girl," the big man pointed at me, and my stomach twisted with disgust. "£150,000" I heard someone yell. "250,000" Another one said. "£300,000!" "Come on guys, the boss wants more than that!" The big man said with a smile. "I'll give you £600,000," said a cold voice from the back of the room. My ice-like eyes making contact with a brilliant blue. That blue reminds me of the old lake I used to go to as a pup. It's such a pretty blue. The male lifted a finger to his ear and said something my rining ears couldn't pick up. He walked over to me slowly, as if he didn't want to hurt me, taking hold of my metal collar covered in blood breaking it. He tried picking me up, but with his short frame, even my malnourished body was to heavy and large for him alone. "Just leave me to die" I whined hoping he'd realized I lost hope.

Her long lustrous white hair nearly reached her knees and waved slightly in the breeze. Her cerulean blue eyes had darkened to match the sea and a faint glow radiated from them. My eyes fought to stay connected to hers, it was so tempting to look down at her pearly skin that was so fully on display. The silver crown on her head dipped slightly as she lowered her head. "I am yours." Her siren's voice spoke, wrapping me in lyrics that I didn't know the language of but it didn't matter because my body knew the song. When I moved to the beautifully lethal seaside town of Long Beach, Washington, I never expected my whole world to be turned upside down. After a near-drowning three days into our move, my moms (yes I have two moms) are more than reluctant to let me out of their sight. But alas, as a redhead, I never could stay out of trouble for very long. Only the funny thing is, I never expected to be saved by a five hundred year old mermaid princess hell bent on claiming me as her mate. Nor did I expect everything about myself and my heratige to change. Yeah, I made that face too. RIP Kelsey.
