You are a Dark Elf trying to escape from your past and find yourself waking up in the back of a cart, hands bound with three other people. You find out that your being taken on your way to an executioners block for something you have no idea about. Suddenly, a dragon appears out of no where, allowing you to escape, but now everyone is talking about a legend of dragons and how they are returning. Why are they coming back? Who is this Dovahkiin? Will you be able to save Skyrim from a new terror flashing its dark wings?

After escaping both the Imperial dungeons and the destructive return of the dragon Alduin, she resolves to discover what strange power is within her, and what the dragons have to do with it. Follows the main quest lines of the game, weaving them into a story of adventure and romance, with numerous twists on the canon. I'm hoping it's equally enjoyable for those who've played the game and those who haven't. Trigger warnings: rape is mentioned, one is attempted and prevented, but none are completed. Some other sexual assault. The first chapters are PG-13, but later ones become R-rated. (Feedback on appropriate ratings appreciated.) Skyrim is part of the Elder Scrolls series of games, copyright by Bethesda Softworks. The image for the book cover is from the game. I've worked in nonfiction up to now because it's easier for me to describe places and events I can experience first-hand.
