What would you do if you were given a second chance? - In the sleepy little town of Acadia Point, Maryland, Avery Barnes had her eyes set on success. With her straight A's, nearly perfect SAT scores, challenging classes, and many extracurriculars, she was set and ready to attend Princeton University in the fall. Her life seemed to only be going uphill and showed no signs of stopping. That is until it went downhill. Literally. - Late one July night, Avery's car takes several flips down a hill until it nears another road, only to be discovered nearly an hour later by none other than her ex-boyfriend whom she dated sophomore through senior year of high school, Maxwell Scotts. - After a comatose Avery is transported to the hospital, Maxwell is a constant visitor, filled with guilt regret for their messy breakup. When she awakens, Avery is diagnosed with retrograde amnesia, at least for a few months. While it seems like cheating, Maxwell takes the opportunity to reintroduce her to the world and win her back. Will he succeed or will his efforts only make his relationship with Avery even more of a lost cause?

[TRIGGER WARNING: Violence, Strong Language, Emotional Themes] He loved her in silence. Through every phase. Even when she wasn't his to love. Maximilian "Imil" Fitzmael adored every version of Amaris-her chaos, her calm, the way she burned brighter than anything else in his world. She was light, even when she didn't feel like it. But when she fell silent and drifted away without explanation, Imil was left with a darkness he couldn't name. He bottled his pain, convinced she'd come back. And she did. Just not the way he hoped. She was still his moon-distant, glowing, unreachable. And he was still the fool tracing constellations from a love that never saw him. ⛧ ⋆˙⟡ ⋆˙ ⟡ ⋆˙ Maximilian V. Fitzmael Fitzmael Series #1
