Sirens are often known as beautifully dangerous creatures, who lured men with their enchanting voices to shipwreck on their island and eat their mortal bodies to keep them alive. Nerida, however, is a bit different. Not only is Nerida absolutely insane, her purpose as a Siren is to collect human souls as payment to the Queen, who grants them youth and beauty. However, in agreement to collect souls, if she were to fall in love, she would be freed from her duties as a Siren. Permanently.

Nerida yearns for something more. She refuses to live a life of horror any longer. She must be free.

Notice: This is a retelling of the classic story "The Little Mermaid." I am not just stealing it for my own use, so don't be an ass about it.

Love Magic

8 parts Complete Mature

Her name was Emma, and she was human. The first time they met she was a child, they both were. She couldn't swim, but she'd fallen off a porting dock, and she happened to be there to save her. The next few days she'd come back and they'd talk, but then her family moved away. It'd been 13 years since that day, Emma was 18 and Nerida was 17, and she's moved back. Her name was Nerida, Greek word for mermaid, but most people called her Nair, and she just want to be happy. But the love she had? It was forbidden in her family, but she doesn't care.
