Between You and Me

Sage King is a simple high school girl, with a few skeletons hidden in her closet. When her mother divorces her father after years of cheating, they move to a small town for a fresh start in a nice little apartment. Sage manages to find local work at Dan's Sports Bar a few days after the move, which is where it all begins.

Dan's isn't any normal sports bar; on Thursday nights during NFL games a challenge is proposed to customers. If they can throw a football from one end of the cashiers room into a net on the other side, their dinner is free. It's a surprisingly simple task, but the beers enjoyed on game nights usually protected Dan's profits.

When Oliver Barnett, the town's famous QB misses the toss, he blackmails Sage into keeping quiet to protect his image. It starts with not so subtle text messages, and only escalates from there.

What happens when Sage notices a major turnaround in Oliver's attitude towards her?
