“This time tomorrow, certain people will appreciate that patience is a virtue,” Odynn retorted.
“This time tomorrow, someone will realise neither patience nor virtue are part of my vocabulary.”
“This time tomorrow it will occur to you that patience is never found in women; I was just wishful thinking.”
I scoffed.  “This time tomorrow you’ll be regretting your sexist comment.”
His grin was cocky, his comeback on the tip of his tongue before I’d even finished speaking.
“This time tomorrow I’ll charm you out of your vengeful mood.”
I was grinning in turn.  “This time tomorrow you’ll discover there’s one woman you can’t talk your way around; beware my bitch slap, it stings.”
“This time tomorrow… shit!” Odynn breathed, and laughed at his own defeat.  “Okay, okay, you win.”
