Castiel Novak is a happy man. 

Or at least he thought so.

With many secrets worth running away from and moving to a whole new city, the young man had nothing to lose.

Or at least when it came to Mr. Dean Winchester, the young and charming CEO of Winchester & Co. - he had everything to lose.

What do you get when you put a simple and kind high school Mathematics teacher and add an arrogant, rich businessman into the equation?

Definitely not a positive correlation.

Author's Note: When I meant A/U, I meant that I will be using the original characters from Supernatural, meaning that I won't change their characteristics. For example, Dean is still a hunter and Castiel has his wings and grace. However, some events in the show will not have occurred in the story like all the dramatic (and completely angsty and unnecessary, in my opinion) shit like, Castiel loosing his grace etc. This is my first Destiel Fic, so I hope you'll give it a chance. The Winchester boys had lived next door to Novaks for as long as anyone in the sleepy little town could remember. Cas and Dean were always best friends, joined at the hip was an understatement. It wasn't until they got into high school, they finally acted upon their feelings of intense love for each other. Inseparable, utterly, stupidly and madly in love. They were both shattered, but their broken edges fit together perfectly. Both suffering from abusive households, both with a brother that they'd die for. Meant for each other. Until that fateful day, when Cas woke up on their 2 and 1/2 year anniversary, after the best night of his life, and found Dean gone, no note, and his place on the bed cold. Our story takes place 6 years later, when the Winchesters are back in town for college, and the Novaks never left. It's time for this sleepy town to be reawakened. Dean and Cas are 23, Sam is 22, Gabe is 24 Deans also more like his early season self, y'know when he was still vaguely in touch with his emotions (PSA: Trigger warnings will be at the top of each chapter if needed, stay safe my silver nuggets. Please. Nothing graphic, just description from what my personal experience with all of it has been. Also, time is a weird thing in this book, it doesn't quite make sense. Cas, Dean, and Sam have been hunting together and splitting off to take smaller jobs. The story starts with the three of them on three separate hunts. Cas is human and wounded. He shows up at Dean's motel in need of help. What proceeds is the two of them meeting up with Sam and going on an involved hunt, over the course of which Dean and Cas slowly figure out their feelings for each other. Lots of awkwardness (in a good way), some mild angst, comfort, and eventually fluff and smut.
