There wasn't many who dared to be so close to this forest. 
When I was a child I had heard about the stories about the "Beast's forest". 
The story told about many that had been killed walking into the forest. There where no bodies left. Only blood and remains. 
Some say that they have seen it. 
A large black beast with red eyes, a predator as big as a horse. 
Some even say that they have seen more than one.
