AJ had a complete mental breakdown over what, no one knows. "Kill or be killed", she said. However everyone in town knew AJ wasn't all that sane, she was known as the girl who heard voices and often talked to herself. AJ is one step away from saying 'I see dead people'. At 16 years old, she is sent to the only place left that can "help" people like her......The Ambrose Asylum named after the infamous Dean Ambrose, who is a complete and utter lunatic. His parents had the place built for their very unstable son, today the asylum is one of the worlds top recovery areas for the mentally unstable. The only person who has never been cured is Dean, at 17 now his parents have given up hope of ever having a normal child. They completely disowned him, and moved away with their hopes of starting over. Only when is no help left for you, are you sent there. All AJ can think is "I'm not crazy enough to go there", being moved from Union City, New Jersey to Cincinnati, Ohio. There she meets all types of people from all types of backgrounds, but what happens when Dean takes and interest in her? Will she get her life back? What will happen to her now? Some people don't understand the concept of someone's mind when they're at their worst in life. Others grasp the pain these people are in. I am one of those people whom grasp it but also experience it, long term. I am Harper, and I happen to be a young adult suffer many mental illnesses. As I stay in this asylum, I experience not only suffering but love, bravery and paranormal activity. All while locked in a celled room and forced to collaborate with some of the best and worst people I could meet in my 23 years of life. But this asylum holds more secrets than it does people. Horror's Story
Horror is an interesting person, and by far the most difficult genre to get ahold of. It took me forever to convince him to sit down and have an interview with me, and most of the questions he answered by physically showing me what he wanted me to feel from him. He made me mourn, he made me panic, he made me feel lonely, he intensified my fears. I almost feel sorry for him now, because he can't feel love, or compassion. Just...a cold and pale creature; strong, bloodthirsty. His eyes hold all of the pain hiding in this world. He made me curious, and I paid for that curiosity in full. He showed me the souls of fallen heroes, screaming in the dark. He showed me what it feels like to be helpless to a force I can't control. He wrote me a narrative to read. It's perfect writing material, if tamed correctly. Compilation of stuff I wrote in 2015-16. I was 13 or 14 years old at the time, so it's interesting to look back on it sometimes. It's marked as complete, but I've left some things unfinished because I don't remember remember my plans for them. IrvingGFM for the cover art, and Hallowtide's graphics.
