He heard the slow movement of tires against the pavement. Louis didn’t think much of it though, so he didn’t pay any further attention to it.

Now looking back on it, he regrets that. He regrets not turning around and watching as two men jumped out of their white van. He regrets not running as they grabbed him by the neck and clasped his mouth shut with their hands so he couldn’t scream. He regrets not being strong enough to push them both away.

Yet here he is now, just a few days later, tied with his hands behind his back and a gag in his mouth while sitting in the back of their van. He was kidnapped, but he hated using that term. He was eighteen after all. Not a kid anymore.
