The Cries of Cathy

Clark Brown is a pessimist. He doesn't like the people in his new school because he doesn't have much in common with them. He remembers the days in primary school with his friends Quentin and Cathleen and how they blended well as friends.

Ten years later, Quentin's gone to the all-boys' school and Cathleen left for the U.S. They weren't really able to keep in touch so they've drifted apart as friends.

Clark begun playing the trumpet in the school band, although he hates the people he plays with and wishes that he could just hurry up and graduate. However, he gets hit by a car on the way back from a concert.
He has died. He sees his friends. He talks with Cathleen. Because Cathleen is dead, too.
