Ava O'Conner is like any other teenage girl trying to get by. Nick Matthews is a good-looking, emotion toying, smart boy who gets what he wants. Nick has never thought of dating Ava, and Ava has only ever dreamed of dating Nick. Right now, Nick seems pretty interested.
Ava however, met a boy named Devon. Devon seems pretty interested in Ava as well. As Ava slowly breaks out of her shell, she must choose between Nick who seems to have her best interests in mind, especially after her father gets sick, but is too interested in other people's opinions, and Devon who likes Ava for who she is but is slowly trying to mold her into a more 'normal' teenage girl.
