Hyrule; a story world above the clouds. Starfall; the surface world that doesn't believe in floating islands. Legends of cities in the sky roll across the lands, but no one really believes in them. Only Kaebora, a middle-aged theoretical scientist, and his daughter Zelda openly proclaim that they believe in places such as Hyrule. "Princess!" he yelled after her. "Where are you going?" "Back to the castle," she replied without stopping. "Not by yourself you're not!" "I'm sorry,"-she whipped around-"I didn't realize you were my father?" "Your father, the king, would execute me for letting you travel by yourself." "Oh, so this is about self-preservation?" "Yes. Yours. There are monsters all over Hyrule now, Your Highness." Blue eyes pointedly looked her up and down. "And by the looks of it, you're not equipped to handle that." She mirrored his scrutiny and scoffed. "What, and you are?" She gestured to the cairns beyond the trees. "Are you going to protect me as well as you protected them?" Calamity is upon Hyrule. The Goddess Hylia appointed but two children to prevent the end of the world. The powers they were promised don't come easily, and after years of outright failure, Princess Zelda can't help but wonder if Hylia chose wrong. It certainly doesn't help that the boy fate has tangled her with makes her seethe. Devotion, heartbreak, inadequacy. Faith, perseverance, and courage. This is a story of finding what lies within. The Princess of the vast kingdom of Hyrule, Zelda Nohansen was only sixteen by the time she was diagnosed with a illness called Huntington's Chorea. Which causes her memory to be very fragile from time to time, and sooner or later, it'll drive her to her deathbed. She has been told time and time again that she is nothing but a failure by achieving nothing in her life. Yet, she tries her hardest to fulfill her one wish in life, finding her own knight in shining armor, who would truly love her until the very end. Now being twenty-three years old, she embarks on a journey on her own after she gets frustrated over a personal guard that is ordered to follow her around anywhere she goes. However, during this journey her fate took an unfortunate turn and she completely lost her memory. As she continues to remember bits of her past she grows more and more curious about this one particular boy that seems to appear alot in these flashbacks. ~ All rights to Nintendo, The legend of Zelda series, thank you for making my childhood so memorable. His breaths came shorter against her ear, tightening the strings of her own flush, and Zelda began to pant as quietly as possible, wistfully curling her spine a degree and folding her knees together.
