There's a rumour that drifts around the public highschool of a small town. It states that the large mansion on the outskirts of the town is inhabited by the ghost of a man that used to live there. Apparently, if you go into the mansion, he makes you play a game. The one catch is: If you lose, you die.
When the intelectual Charlotte Croft is dared to spend the night in the Bane Mansion by the popular Mia Roberts, she doesn't refuse - no matter how many times her friends tell her she shouldn't. She is forced into the game of riddles that the ghost "Joker" has spent years creating. Will she win?

As she overhears a conversation that a war has been declared and that the evil king has declared war for power and land, Violet says that she'll go over and try to defeat the evil king, just so she can earn peoples' trust.
