Working at a diner has its perks... A discount on meals, tips, and of course, the lovely customers. No, really! Some customers are absolutely wonderful. They tip well, they don't snap their fingers in order to get my attention and if there is a problem, they don't throw a complete hissy fit in order to get it solved. There's also the shitty part about working in a diner. We all know what I'm talking about. Customers who do, very noisily, snap their fingers in my face when they're wanting something from me, or my favorite kind of shitty customer; when I walk up to a table and greet them with a big ole' smile on my face, and no one looks up from their menus to respond back like I'm not even there. One night, I made the mistake of making sure to get one tables attention during this type of scenario, and let's just say... So far, I wish I had never met them. My name's Emma, and this is my story.
