Anika and Liesl Weiß are little girls when the war begins and teenagers when they join the medical unit. They are inserperable, that is until an accident in Russia brings them apart. Anika and Liesl tell their story as they live through the war.
Anna Winters is a translator and a rebel fighting to get people out of Europe and into safe zones, but everything changes when she is captured and taken to a German prison camp, where she remains until she makes a daring escape.
Alicja Lwodiski is Polish, running for her life across Europe, avoiding the Russians and the Germans as best she can, trying to find her friends and family to get to safety.

"I love you and Eddie so much!" I said and hugged my kids. "Don't go daddy!" replied Alice. She hugged her doll and her blue eyes were tearful. "Stay close to papa!" I said and she nodded. A gaurd pushed me to the righ line and my children screamed. Then they walked away and that was the last time I saw my family. *** The year is 1940 and Adam lives in Germany with his husband and their two kids. They have promised each other to stay together, no matter what happens. But everything changes when they are taken to a concentration camp. Adam end up in the right line, while his family end up in the left line. He hope he will return with them again and refuse to give up. But then it turns out that they were killed. Adam tries to take his life, but a man stop him. He offer him a house to sleep and a lovely dinner. He accept it and well there he's brutally raped and left to die. After weeks of starvation and forced labor, he goes to the gas chamber because life isn't worth living anymore. 68 years later he starts a school in London. He meet Tommy and they fall in love. Then again, she did not expect her father to be whisked away in the middle of the night by soldiers, nor did she expect her house to become swallowed by flames of fiery hatred. A stubborn, introverted fifteen year old girl, Celina refuses to believe the many stories of the horrific genocide against the Jews, often turning a blind eye to anything that reminds her of the war. But when she unwittingly promises to hide two Jews in a home she does not have, Celina must journey across Europe with these strangers in search of lady who might be able to rescue them. They are filthy, they are broken, and Celina cannot seem to control the hatred burning inside her. Together they travel town to town, witnessing each cities own branch of horrors, even hiding in basements of strangers. In ways painfully unimaginable to Celina, these two Jews affect her life in the deepest of ways. The story will take place in Poland. The countries have lived a long time living under the banners of their invader from the beginning of the second world war. Many tales are made here, especially the tales of heroes, saviors, uprising, survivors, and the Holocaust. THE STORY: Hanna is a young child that thought nothing on her mind but only a simple wish that she desire most.
