Alexia "Lex" Crowne has lived most of her life knowing she isn't exactly your normal 17 year old teenager. She possess powers that Lex herself is not in full control of; all she knows that with heightened and any extreme emotions can lead to disastrous weather changes and her uncanny ability to control certain elements has lead to some serious problems in her life. With her latest mishap she if left with no other choice but attend the Arcana Academy, a special school designed specifically to help teens just like her to harness and develop their powers to its full potential. Surprisingly enough Lex finds herself starting to fit in and enjoy her life here at Arcana Academy, where people don't look at her like she's a freak and cute boys are actually interested in her. That is, all the while trying hard to avoid the boy who she keeps visioning herself killing, following the stunning prophecy that concerns the man she loves is the man she is destined to destroy. Arcana Academy is the anything but normal, and as Lex finds herself at the center of the Academy's dark centuries long conspiracy, she comes to face to face that with the darkest truth of her very existence.
