Iris had been named after her beautiful blue eyes. The ironic thing is though, that she's blind. Her father's a drunk, and her mother takes too many depression pills. Her little sister, Angel, is the only light in her dark world. Her life wasn't perfect, but it was as good as it was going to get in Iris's point of view, but things just spiraled out of control when her mother decides she needs to force Iris to go to a public school. And now Iris truly believes that her life is over.

In search of Clove a unexpected explosion happened sending Iris flying, darkness overcoming her. She woke up in a hovercraft with loads of people around her that she didn't recognize and didn't answer her questions. So now she is left in the darkness all alone with questions in her head. This book is a second sequel to, We were just Kids (Clove Kentwell) if you enjoyed that book I hope you will enjoy this book just as much or more. What if Clove didn't get picked, or even worse what if Iris didn't get picked and had to watch Clove die. Last games were child's play, all these people are experienced with the games. They have all been through the trauma. But the trauma hit Iris really hard when she got back home. The only thing keeping her happy was the thought of seeing Clove again and being able to hold her.
