Valerie Brooks is a college grad who is taking a journey of self-discovery and trying to find her muse. She takes up a job as a librarian's assistant and seeks a story in her spare time.

Val finds what she was looking for when she discovers who Jax really is. Val forces Jax to confront his inner demons while he makes her own up to hers.

But the past will catch up with them both and soon enough they have to face it.
