'"Just one sip, my dear." Patrisha glanced at the Prince in fear, as she looked at the deep red liquid swirling in the goblet. "J-just one?" she stuttered. He nodded with a small smile trying to lessen her uneasiness. "Just one, then we will be together for the rest of our lives." Patrisha looked deep into his eyes, as she shifted the cool gold rim to her lips. She replayed the words 'for the rest of our lives' over and over in her head, as the liquid slid down her throat. She would be with Prince Henry for the rest of her life. And with that thought her eyes drooped and everything went black.' Lady Patrisha Millings is brave to say the least. Having to grow up without a mother or father can can create the bravest child and also break them down. But her life is finally coming together. She could leave her broken home behind her and step into a life fit for royalty. But life isn't so simple. She soon finds herself stuck between a sibling rivalry of two brothers and given only one choice. But one thing she seems to constantly learn is that everything comes with a price....and someone must pay it.

Every hour, a team of doctors entered to administer agonizing shocks. Their expressions were blank, their spirits shattered. On the hour, the doctors arrived once more. A woman, stern and merciless, stepped forward. "Manvika, Chahat," she said icily, "we don't want to do this to you, but we can't let you go. Our control must remain absolute." She clenched her jaw and tightened her grip on their throats. "Hukumat ke liye jaane kitne jaane gaye hain, par tum dono akhiri ho. Phir siyasat pe hukumat humari hogi, sirf humari. Don't let them escape. Continue the torment, because if they leave, everything will fall apart." A month passed in this relentless torment. Chahat began to devise a plan for their escape. Finally, they succeeded. As they stumbled out of the dark room, the light was piercing, like needles stabbing their eyes. "Chahat, I can't walk," Manvika whimpered. "Manvika, we have to keep going," Chahat insisted, gripping her hand tightly. They ran, but before they could get far, they heard a shout. "Shoot them!" They looked back to see a guard firing two bullets. With the sound of gunfire, Manali jolted awake, screaming. She sat up in bed, clutching Anika tightly .
