Hun møder en masse nye mennesker. Den højlydte charmerende Viola, hendes veninder Chellie og Meghan, nørderne kendt som Simon og Eric og ikke mindst den mystiske selvfede Cameron Dallas og alle hans venner.
Cameron og hans venner er kendt som skolens playere/fuck-boys. De kommer skævt ind på hinanden. Cameron er højlydt, charmende og tænker ikke så meget over tingene. Melody er stille, ordentlig og tænker FOR meget over alt.
Cameron ud ser sig dog hurtigt for Melody. Men Cameron og Melody tænker ikke ens. Melody vil absolut ikke have noget med ham at gøre, eller hvad?
