Remember that story from Hercules? The story of Meg and how she sold her soul to Hades? We kind of did the same thing... See, I loved this guy named Drew but he was dying. Desperately, I asked help from this man and he promised me that Drew would live-- as long as I agreed to his bargain. Dumb as a rock, I accepted his offer. Then it turns out Drew loved another girl. So here I am in the 'Underworld', rotting and heart-broken, because what I gave, in exchange for Drew's life, was my soul.

When I was young, I was always told that everyone loved a tragic Greek love story. Orpheus and Eurydice. Apollo and Hyacinth. Hero and Leander. Achilles and Patroclus. I had asked my mother why so many of those stories didn't have happy endings. She just gave me a grim smile and told me how the world of the gods was tricky. There was a lot about it that I didn't understand yet. That was 13 years ago. I think I understand it now.
