Other's go mad from the ear shattering noises of constant gun fire. but some change for the better. Take Homeless Robot for example, he is homeless but gets to where a box on his head even when he showers. Another example would be this Dracorax loner Revan who is one of the most skilled combatants I know being able to kill a man in 0.5 seconds after seeing him 5 miles away.
