Some stories are happy. Some are sad. Some deal with romance or with death. Others with the inner mechanics of the human mind. This story has decided to be a happy one, although, it will have its sad moments. It follows the story of a young, well, 800 year old girl, named Delta. Delta Starhopper.

With that out of the way, I understand that this isn't a very normal way to tell a story, by having the narrator be self aware. However, I wish to try it, and see where it goes. 

Lastly, this is not the story. This is backstory as of now. Don't get your nickers in a twist because it doesn't seem like an introduction, as it isn't. This is laying the groundwork for something bigger...
