"I don't know." She says with a shrug. "I feel like I'm being watched or something."

"Watched?" I ask, still shocked by her presence. I check the time. it's 2:09 am.

"Yeah, I don't know. Just an eerie feeling." She says. "You know what? It's probably nothing. Goodnight." She quickly turns around and walks back to her room. The last thing I see is the outline of her red hair leaving my doorway.

I'm just drifting off when I hear her scream, then silence. I run to her room, getting there before our parents, and finding everything neat and tidy. Everything's in order, windows closed and locked, but Caroline isn't there.

"Caroline?" I ask, looking around for her. I yank the window open. "Caroline!" I scream. No reply. She vanished.
