Just Alice
Songwritter Alice Freeman has always been in the shadows as her boyfriend Tristan soaked in the limelight and fame-and Alice was okay with that. They were a team. She wrote the songs, and he performed them. However, as Tristan becomes a prisoner to his newfound fame, Alice finds herself left in the dust.
Grey Nelson stumbles up to his apartment shitfaced drunk after another long day of appearances and interviews. His number one priority was just to get home-that was until he heard the voice of a girl that struck a spot in his soul that hadn't been provoked in a long time. In his drunkardness, Grey stumbles towards the door and comes face to face with Alice. Though he compliments her artistic abilities, he also manages to make a fool out of himself before arriving at his apartment right next door.
The next day, Grey wakes up feeling regret and embarrassment as he remembers his actions from the night before. After a shower and a well-needed mouth scrub, Grey heads towards his new neighbor's apartment to make amends, but also with an offer.
Will Alice take Grey up on his offer, or will she choose to remain in the shadows, the place that has taken up residency in her life.
