I skidded to halt when I heard two heartbeats. I trailed slowly so as not to startle the intruders. I felt a pull towards the cage hidden behind the trees. It had been my private spot, and for a rogue to intrude it, made me angry. Upon entering the cave, I saw a figure huddled up in the corner. Sensing me, its head snapped towards me. I was floored. All I saw was bright glowing amethyst eyes.

I am sure my eyes the glowing red, that of Sethos. He was murmuring something incoherent. Then slowly it became clear.

"Mate" Sethos growled out. I had finally found my mate.

The amethyst eyes glowed and my mate huddled closer to the other figure. Her heartbeat quickened.

"Hey sweetheart, I am not going to hurt you. You are my mate. And mates never hurt each other. You can come out. "I tried coaxing her out.

Then I felt it. The invisible force slamming me out of the cave. The force was impressive. It slammed me to the nearby tree that was 5 feet away from the cave.
