Marina Towson has lived her life surrounded by drugs, and all the things drugs bring. Fights, addiction, betrayal - all the negatives that surround a drug filled life. But she's also surrounded by the positive aspects of drugs: money, family, opportunity. Marina's father is the number one drug trafficker on the east coast, and the world's worst father. Her mother, a traveling artist, too strung out on pills to help with normal teenage girl problems (boys, proms, periods) is rarely ever around. Her sister is a cold-hearted bitch who only thinks about herself.
Even though Marina is surrounded by people at all times, she constantly feels alone.
Until she meets X, a boy who won't leave her alone. No matter how far away she pushes X, he some how finds his way back to her, as annoying as it is.
As Marina struggles with changes and conflicts, will she decide she's better with or with out X?
