I could here the crackling noise growing louder. I forced my eyes to open as I wandered out of my tree shelter... It took my eyes a while to adjust to the bright red & orange petals. They swayed and changed shape like the waves on the shore. But waves were cold, this was anything but. I knew what I saw. I saw what I knew. Once I saw it I knew it was the red flower.
