"Tell me!" He yelled from across the room. I couldn't, I'm not. If I tell him what happened that night he'll know my secret and that's something that I've tried to bury in the past. Things would never be the same if it resurfaced. So instead of telling him, I surprisingly say calmly, "No." He takes three swift steps to be in front of me, a little bit too close. His eyes meet mine and I see the frustration, the determination, and the concern? I can't breath, not with him this near me. "Dammit Emma, I will find out," he speaks so low I almost can't hear him, "I am going to find out, even if it kills me." He starts to walk away and I can't stop myself from blurting out, "Why? Why do y-you care about this so much?" My voice stops him in his tracks and with out turning around he shouts, "I don't fucking know!" He punches the wall next to the door before storming out of his own room leaving me and the wall with a big hole inside. And for the first time in years I break down. *** It's been four years since the incident happened to Emma, she's fine now. She really is. She's in college now, is soon to graduate and life couldn't be better. She parties, drinks and goes out with her friends. That's how she meets Derrick, the hot drummer from The Damned. He's tall, wears dark clothes that match his dark hair and his hazel eyes. But he's also a big time player. But that doesn't bother Emma, she doesn't do relationships, and neither does he. What bothers her, is how he wants to know about her life. How they start being friends without having to hook up. How he doesn't take no for an answer. But Emma's nightmares are getting worse and he's the first to notice. Now he really won't leave her alone. Great.
