Touhou Fanfiction

During the events of NanoTec, "First Contact", Kestrel-001 was scouting the Lolite homeworld, Cela, after the loss of two scout probes. The mission failed catastrophically and the Elite Squad of Four, was marooned on the planet's northern hemisphere. The inhabitants called the strange land "Gensokyo" which apparently was related directly to the late planet Earth.

In ancient times, a huge battle known as the "Battle Fight" was fought between creatures known as "Undead." There were 53 of them out there battling over on which of their species will dominate the Earth. The ones who won were humans, and thus, they populated Earth. While the Battle Fight was going on, a magical kingdom known as the "Trump Kingdom" fought against the Jikochuu and sealed the ruler away. In the present time, the kingdom was destroyed and conquered by the Jikochuu, who are now freed from the seal. The Jikochuu then started targeting the humans by manipulating their inner hearts. There was another trouble, the Undead. They were released from their seal by a team of archeologists who wanted to find the secret of eternal life. Now, a new Battle Fight has begun. The group of archeologists known as BOARD, which stands for the "Board of Archeological Research Department," had chosen two people to become Kamen Riders to hunt these Undead and seal them again. The same goes for the fairies of the Trump Kingdom as they will search for new warriors known as Pretty Cures to fight the Jikochuu, restore, and reclaim the Trump Kingdom. Will the Kamen Riders and Pretty Cures protect their world from the Jikochuu and the Undead? And also stop the new Battle Fight and prevent Earth from being plagued to darkness? I wasn't special, I wasn't a marine or a scientist sent here from earth to study Pandora, I was a behaviorist-some say behaviorists are scientists too; but the brain isn't made up of mathematics and hope, it's like the roots of trees. Forever speaking but unheard. I study people's brains and their behavior. I don't look at it with hope and faith. I'm nothing special, not really. When I was accepted to help with Project Pandora, I was exhilarated. This was my big break, something to get me out there. I never expected for it to spiral into my life unprofessionally-become personal, emotional. That I would have to fight in a war between man and alien, choose between my own people and a clan of beings that accepted me-welcomed me, trained and made me one of them. This wasn't supposed to become personal, but it did.

World Witches: Arctic Circle by not_canteria

May 9th, 2042; The day after the end of World War Three and the surrender of Germania, which was analogously named the 5th Reich, as officially designated by the Organization of Nations. On this day, crowds filled the streets of every major city worldwide, celebrating the elimination of the greatest threat to the existence of the human race. However, while parties and crowds gathered in two of the three major cities in New Canteria, namely Okha and Vladivostok, the third major city, Arnket, was undergoing decontamination due to the radiation caused by a German nuclear strike in early May as it had resulted in a large crater and an engineered radioactive toxic rain cloud. Aside from that though it seemed as if all would go swimmingly for humanity. Until an alien race named the Neuroi appeared. The date is June 9th, 2042. A full month after the surrender of Germania and a week after the Mecklenburg-Vorpommen massacre. As New Canteria was receiving flak from the Organization of Nations, a sudden disturbance was detected by a Canadian satellite as a mysterious black cloud arose from the North Pole. However the Canadian government paid no mind to it. The last mistake they would make as it was them. They struck down on humanity like a thunderbolt in their most vulnerable moments as the North Canadian forces in the area were almost destroyed from the Neuroi attack, driving thousands and eventually millions from their homes in a attempt to escape the Neuroi. However the human race wouldn't go down without a fight. Mobilizing troops freed up from the end of WW3, the ON and a new organization named NORDEN (NHDA) made a successful resistance against the Neuroi and drove them back to the North Pole. However what they found next would have news of it reverberate across the world. A wormhole to a universe still fighting the Neuroi. (Note: I do not own the World Witches series and all media relating to it.)

Theories once whispered in academic circles, the "Great Filter," the "Rare Earth" now loomed large and terrifying. Was intelligence a cosmic accident? Was humanity the only one to make it this far? (It's been a while since I made a Touhou story... a really long time in fact.) Gensokyo, a land where the fantasy and the unknown is more than mere myths written on papers and spread by superstitious people. Inside, a completely different world exist, a world separated from our own by the great Hakurei Barrier. In it, youkais exist and live their lives while the few humans inside are grouped together, living in fear of the monsters roaming this land. This is how Gensokyo behaves; a stable "peace" maintained by people in charge of keeping this world of fantasy in its current state. With so many creatures with different mindsets and frightening powers, events called "incidents" are bound to occur. Thankfully, the shrine maiden attending to the barrier is quick to take action, even despite her annoyed groans. ...This is one of those many incidents that should have easily been taken care of. Yes, a winter overstaying its welcome seemed like an easy task to deal with. Yet, something went wrong. It was never solved. The endless snow continued to fall and no one could understand what caused this drastic change. The weather grew stronger and with it, its poison and true intentions finally emerged. Those exposed to the harsh environment soon began to suffer symptoms of a strange disease and fell into madness, attacking everyone in sight regardless of their nature. It was not uncommon to see Fairies attack and even devour each other for survival against the temperature. The threat Gensokyo was facing seemed relentless and nobody was safe from its effect; going outside with no protection was akin to signing your last will. Finally... the last straw that brought ruin to this world was the death of the shrine maiden. The strength of this eternal winter slipped past the breaking barrier and reached the Outside World, plunging the planet into chaos. The only hope the sane humans and youkais have is to find the source of this incident and put an end to it.

After 2 major wars against two galactic superpowers, and the Garmillas refugee crisis of 2205, Japan, a part of the Earth Federation, now is seeing true peace. The rebuilding process is happening smoothly, with cooperation between citizens from all walks of life, between the Garmillian refugees and Terrans, and even the famous Shinkansen Maglev system is also rebuilt. However, one day, the people on the land of Japan woke up to a foreign sight. No known constellation, familiar stars, the moon, and neighboring landmass could be detected. Facing them is a planet of unknown, magic, and of possibility. Facing the crisis of transference, the people united once more, and again, the name Japan is re-recognized as a country. Her diplomatic corps is sent out on the rebuilt Japan Cosmo Navy ships, heading toward unknown lands, and contacting the nations of the new world. The politic of the new world however is a quagmire full of arrogance, hostility, and imperialism. "If diplomacy fails, then defend ourselves, we must" - proclaimed the newly appointed provisional PM of Japan, Heikuro Todo. The story of Nihonkoku Shoukan Beyond will follow Japan in the world of Space Battleship Yamato (2199/2202/2205) after their transference to the new world. This story is inspired by the original NHS and fanfics like Summoning America by DrDoritosMD. It will feature similar plots to the OG NHS by Minorou and the fanfics by other creators I have the pleasure to read. With this as my first English fanfic novel, please don't be too harsh. The Vozhd and the Human Village by Like-a-Write

Six people, six locations, six accidents... Same place. After unexpected events occur, six people find themselves in the land only known as Gensokyo. Confussed and flabbergasted, they introduce each other before procceding... Until, the introductions split them into two groups. After the two groups can't seem to trust each other, they each walk in one direction, hoping for the best. Lost and yet to fully realize the dangers lurking in the forest they find themselves in, they continue to walk carefree. Who are those people? Well... There is a politician, who desires to achieve greatness. A priest, who has a questionable mindset and intends. A military engineer, who is mostly incompetent in the military part but capable in the engineering one. An avarage soldier, who is trying to play the big hero. A simple janitor, who just wants to get back home and last but not least, a man. A man, who did not mention anything about him. Curious. Just what will happen to them? Will they survive past the first day? Will they be able to find the Human Village and settle upon a new life? Or will some of them get power hungry ideas, which might as well cause a new incident like no other? Only time can tell... Note: This is my second story, I have no idea what I am doing and I can say for certain that I will most likely get the character personalities wrong at times. If that happens, I will apreciate a comment pointing out the mistake so I may improve in the future. The passage ways between the Layan worlds and the Orakian worlds were sealed. In time people forgot that there were other worlds besides Landen. Two months ago, a young woman washed up on the shores of Landen. She remembered nothing of her life prior to waking up on the beach. This seemingly minor event sets this epic adventure into motion." - prologues to Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom Book 1 of a novelization of Phantasy Star 3, following Rhys' (Kein's) story. Written during my freshman/sophomore year of high school, 1994-96. Unedited and uncorrected, so there's likely to be some misspellings, incorrect grammar, things that I got wrong about the story/lore, etc. For a loooong time, Phantasy Star 3 was the only fan fic I had ever written down. I've since begun writing a Phantasy Star 1 fan fic (under Monkeeshrines). I've branched out so much! ;) It's dedicated to a friend of mine that had passed away during her junior (my senior) year. She had never played the games but liked the story and was the only one I showed this to before completing it. She kept asking me when I was going to finish, which I sadly didn't do until after she passed.
